Residents of a posh Nairobi suburb are reportedly grumbling, not about traffic this time but about a senior party honcho who  allegedly  doubles as a legislator. The man has apparently turned his home into a mini airstrip. The big man’s helicopter is said to be landing and taking off so frequently, thanks to heightened political engagements, which neighbours can now tell the time by the roar of the blades. Some say weekends are supposedly the worst, when the whirring machine announces his comings and goings from dawn. The estate’s peace, once defined by birdsong and rustling trees, is now punctuated by copter's noise.

A once-powerful figure from the previous regime is said to be warming up for a political comeback in 2027. The man has lately seemingly found his voice as a fierce critic of the current administration, while sounding oddly sympathetic to the opposition. Insiders, however, whisper that his path back to elective office is supposedly not as smooth as he imagines. The area senator has reportedly set sights on the same seat and is considered a shoo-in for the ticket of the region’s dominant party. Those watching the chessboard say the former big man may soon discover that nostalgia and noise are no match for ground numbers and party machinery.

Did two heavyweight leaders just fire political missiles using dud ammunition? That is the question doing rounds after the pair, in what looked like choreographed messaging, resurrected old accusations against a rival relying on an allegedly fake “document” that veterans of the 2022 campaign trail will remember well. Problem is, the dossier was long exposed as a fabrication. To add spice to the saga, Corridors has it that the original author of the "fake letter" is now firmly embedded in the opposition’s camp. Observers wonder how such senior leaders supposedly fell for recycled propaganda.

A lawmaker who reportedly  recently switched allegiances is said to have joined a small but energetic club of MPs whose weekend diaries are filled with well-choreographed “grassroots engagements.” The formula is familiar: Supposed Meetings with women and youth groups, plenty of photos, a catchy chant, and social media flooded with images and videos of “the masses.” The group reportedly pitches camp in a politically restless region, and whispers suggest the logistical muscle behind the tours traces back to a powerful office. Those in the know say the generous facilitation might explain the newfound zeal of the MP.
