The airline confirmed that the plane successfully completed a comprehensive 6C maintenance check, a detailed heavy inspection, and a scheduled landing gear change.

In a statement on Twitter, the airline said, “This marks part of a phased return to service for aircraft that had been temporarily grounded to allow essential maintenance.”

The aircraft has already resumed operations, undertaking its maiden post-maintenance flights. Kenya Airways highlighted that the restored aircraft will now support its mid- to long-haul network, boosting operational capacity and improving service reliability.

“We look forward to having you on board,” the airline added.

The move comes as part of the airline’s broader efforts to ensure safety and maintain a consistent travel experience for passengers.

By rotating aircraft through scheduled maintenance, Kenya Airways aims to strengthen its fleet readiness and meet growing demand across regional and international routes.
