
Police are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found abandoned on an open field in the Oloolua area, Kajiado County. The body had a deep cut on the head when it was discovered behind a bakery and long after his murder.
The motive of the murder was not established even as police said they had arrested a suspect in connection to the incident.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
The incident was among about six that were reported to police.
In the Kamukunji area, Nairobi, a man was found dead after a suspected assault. The police said the body was found along Quarry Road on Sunday morning and moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
The motive of the murder was not immediately established.
Along Park Road in Nairobi, a man collapsed and died outside a bank. Witnesses said the man identified as Charles Irungu, 38 was walking outside the Family Bank Park Road branch when he collapsed and died.
Two ambulances which responded to the scene confirmed he had died. The cause of the death was not immediately known as the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
In Langobaya, Kilifi County, one Ramadhan Mzinga, 35 was killed over claims he was a serial thief. Police said the body of the deceased was found on the roadside long after his killing.
He had been stoned to death in the attack. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
In Sirembe, Siaya County a 14-year-old girl collapsed and died while in her classroom.
The incident happened as the grade eight pupils were in their morning preps on Friday, witnesses and police said.
Police said the incident happened at Asayi Comprehensive School and the cause of the incident was not immediately established.

In Muthithi, Muranga County, a murder suspect was arrested after a hunt. The suspect is linked to an earlier murder incident in the area.
And police in Makueni are investigating an incident where a suspect died in remand at the Makueni Remand Prisons.
Officials said Dominic Muendo Wambua, 33 had been remanded at the facility on January 29, 2026 for assault causing actual bodily harm and is said to have collapsed and died at the facility on February 6 in the morning.
The cause of the death was not immediately established and the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
