Prophet Victor Kanyari has addressed the stir caused by his recent remarks describing TikTok personality Marion Naipei as a "bush cat."
During a live session, the preacher clarified the context of the viral "paka ya msituni" comment while providing financial support for Naipei’s new wardrobe and personal expenses.
The ‘Bush Cat’ Clarification
The term "paka ya msituni" recently trended across social media, leading to mixed reactions from followers. Kanyari explained that the comment arose from his frustration regarding Naipei’s lifestyle choices.
He noted that while he was dedicated to praying for her transformation, he continued to see her consuming alcohol on TikTok.
"I saw that I was continuing to pray for her, I still saw her on social media, there on TikTok still drinking heavily," Kanyari clarified.
He explained that this prompted him to tell her to return to the wild, using the phrase "bush cat go back to the bush".

Support for a New Look
Beyond the clarification, the Salvation Healing Ministry leader sought to address Naipei’s appearance for church services. He remarked that she lacked appropriate clothing for the sanctuary, often wearing street clothes.
Kanyari initially intended to purchase the items himself but decided to provide the cash instead. He questioned her on the cost of women's clothing, to which it was established that a single piece costs approximately Ksh 2,000.

The preacher then handed over Ksh 6,000 specifically for her Sunday best. This amount was intended to cover three distinct outfits, priced at 2k each. He strictly warned her not to use this specific portion of the money for alcohol.
A Surprise Allowance
In a move that surprised some viewers, Kanyari also addressed Naipei’s drinking habits directly. After providing the funds for her clothing, he asked how much she would require for drinking.
When Naipei requested Ksh 3,000 for this purpose, Kanyari refused and instead told her to sit.
Row with Radio Personalities
The session also saw Kanyari respond to external criticism. He mentioned being insulted by a radio personality. The preacher expressed his displeasure at being accused of "defiling the altar" by those in the media industry.

"I am of the church, you are a radio station," Kanyari retorted, addressing his critics. He questioned why a "comedian" was involved in his ministry's affairs, asserting that the altar did not belong to the broadcaster.
Marion Naipei, a popular figure on TikTok, has been a frequent guest on Kanyari’s recent live broadcasts. The preacher has claimed to be on a mission to reform her, though the journey has been marked by public disagreements and viral moments.
