The state education agencies are targeting specialists, managers and support staff on permanent terms.
The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development and the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service have announced fresh recruitment drives, advertising a total of 20 vacancies across curriculum development, management, finance, legal and technical support functions.
The two state education agencies are seeking to fill the positions on permanent and pensionable terms as they move to strengthen institutional capacity and service delivery.
KICD, in an external advertisement, is recruiting for 14 posts across technical, academic and audit departments.
Among the senior openings is Assistant Director, Technical Services, KICD Grade 4 (one post).
The institute is also hiring an Assistant Director, NRC and Resource Mobilization, KICD Grade; Assistant Director, Educational Broadcasting, KICD Grade 4 and Assistant Director, Internal Audit, KICD Grade 4.
Curriculum-focused roles form the bulk of the vacancies.
These include Senior Curriculum Development Officer, Special Needs Education (Visual Impairment); Senior Curriculum Development Officer (Indigenous Languages – Secondary); Senior Curriculum Development Officer, French; Senior Curriculum Development Officer, English/Literature in English; Senior Curriculum Development Officer, Marine and Fisheries Technology; Senior Curriculum Development Officer, Sports and Recreation; Senior Curriculum Development Officer, Media Technology and Senior Curriculum Development Officer, IRE, all falling under KICD Grade 6.
Other advertised positions are Assistant Printer, KICD Grade 8 (one post) and Principal Internal Auditor, KICD Grade 5 (one post).
Applicants are required to submit application letters, detailed curriculum vitae, academic and professional certificates, testimonials and copies of national identity cards, alongside contact information and details of two referees.

The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) develops, reviews and approves curricula and support materials for basic education (below university).

It manages the application process for Form 4 leavers, offers career guidance and facilitates inter-institutional transfers.
Top management positions advertised include Director, ICT and Innovation, KUCCPS Grade 2 (one vacancy); Director, Finance, Accounts and Debt Management, KUCCPS Grade 2 (one vacancy); and Director, Human Resource and Administration, KUCCPS Grade 2 (one vacancy).
The placement service is also recruiting a Deputy Director, Legal Services, KUCCPS Grade 3 (one vacancy); Principal Accountant, KUCCPS Grade 5 (one vacancy); Senior Supply Chain Management Officer, KUCCPS Grade 6 (one vacancy); and Senior Planning and Quality Assurance Officer, KUCCPS Grade 6 (one vacancy).
In addition, five Driver positions are available at KUCCPS Grade 11.
All KUCCPS applications must be submitted online through the Placement Service careers portal careers.kuccps.net.
Candidates are required to create profiles, complete the online application and upload CVs, academic certificates and testimonials.
The application window runs from February 3, 2026 to February 23, 2026 at 5pm.
Successful candidates will be expected to meet the integrity requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution, including clearance from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the Higher Education Loans Board (Helb), the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and an approved credit reference bureau.
