Popular content creator known as the Arsenal General (@usefulidioty) has described his allegiance to Arsenal Football Club as an unbreakable commitment that defines both his public persona and private life.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Mpasho conducted by journalist Kalondu Musyimi, the creator said his loyalty to the North London club is absolute and cannot be influenced by money or public pressure.
He stated that there are values money cannot buy, insisting that he has never worn and would never wear a Manchester United jersey, regardless of the financial offer. According to him, supporting Arsenal is not a temporary interest but a lifelong attachment.
"Kuna kitu pesa hawezi buy na ni mapenzi kwa Arsenal," he stated.
Relationships Built Around the Club
During the interview, the Arsenal General revealed that his devotion to the club extends into his romantic life. Currently single, he said any future partner would need to understand that Arsenal comes first.
"Hadi dem yangu akikuja ajue Arsenal namba one alafu yeye," he said.
He explained that a girlfriend would come “after the Arsenal,” adding that anyone who struggles with that reality should avoid pursuing a relationship with him.

He traced the origins of his fandom to childhood, recalling how his father once bought him an oversized Arsenal “O2” jersey.
That moment, he said, marked the beginning of his deep connection with the club. He also identified former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry as his football hero and reflected on the emotional impact of Arsenal’s defeat to Barcelona in the 2006 UEFA Champions League final, a match he still finds difficult to talk about.
Physical Risks of Public Opinion
Beyond football loyalty, the creator also addressed the physical risks associated with outspoken content creation.
In the Mpasho exclusive, he recounted a recent incident involving Obinna’s production team, where he claimed he was physically assaulted after expressing negative opinions about Manchester United.
He said he was surprised to be invited to a show only to be slapped over views that were already publicly known.
The Arsenal General also revisited a past fallout with comedian Eric Omondi, explaining that he walked away from an agreement to shave his hair after being physically hurt during the interaction.
He noted that while verbal banter is part of football culture, physical confrontation is unacceptable.
Monetisation Struggles and Future Outlook
The Arsenal General identified monetisation as the most challenging and least visible aspect of content creation. Despite public visibility and online engagement, he said turning content into sustainable income remains difficult.
He also mentioned incidents of harassment, including occasions where fans allegedly stole his phone.
Looking ahead, he described his outlook for 2026 as “huge” and expressed optimism about the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
While acknowledging some controversies witnessed in international football, he said the tournament presents an opportunity to showcase Kenyan hospitality and culture on a continental stage.
