As anticipation continues to build, the Recording Academy has begun unveiling a diverse and exciting lineup of performers, bringing together chart-topping stars, acclaimed nominees, and emerging talents from across the music industry.
“This year feels like a great mix of young superstars, established legends, and icons. We have so much diversity in genre,” the CEO of the Recording Academy, Harvey Mason Jr., said.

Leading the performance announcements is pop sensation and two-time Grammy winner Sabrina Carpenter.

The singer has received six nominations this year, largely stemming from her latest album, Man’s Best Friend.
Known for her electric stage presence and infectious pop anthems, Carpenter is expected to deliver one of the night’s most anticipated performances.
In a special segment, the Recording Academy will also showcase all eight nominees for Best New Artist in a collaborative performance.
The lineup includes Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, SOMBR, and The Marías.

The group represents a dynamic new generation of genre-blending voices shaping the future of music.
Hip-hop fans are also set for a major highlight with confirmed performances by Clipse and Pharrell Williams, both of whom are nominees this year.
Clipse, the influential rap duo made up of brothers Malice and Pusha T, earned five nominations, particularly for their latest project, Let God Sort Em Out.

By featuring these artists, the Grammys continue to reaffirm their commitment to honouring hip-hop’s enduring legacy while simultaneously spotlighting new voices.
Beyond the performances, the 2026 Grammy nominations reflect what the Academy describes as a vibrant and transformative year in music.
“The GRAMMY Awards are our opportunity to honour the people who make this community so vibrant, and this year’s nominees remind us of the incredible talent that is driving music forward,” Mason said.

Strong showings also came from Bad Bunny, Chappell Roan, Doechii, KAROL G, Mumford & Sons, and Sam Smith.

In the Record of the Year category, standout contenders include Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s collaboration luther, ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ hit APT., along with solo entries from Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga.
This year’s ceremony also introduces two new award categories: Best Album Cover and Best Traditional Country Album, expanding recognition across creative disciplines and musical traditions.
“The Academy’s top priority is to represent the music people that we serve each year,” Mason said.
“That entails listening carefully to our members to make sure our rules and guidelines reflect today’s music and allow us to accurately recognise as many deserving creators as possible.”
With nominations spanning global sounds, Latin influences, indie innovation, and mainstream pop dominance, the stage is set for a night of performances that could define careers and shape the next chapter of music history.
While additional performers are expected to be announced in the coming days, the current lineup already promises a thrilling blend of pop brilliance and hip-hop power, making the 2026 Grammy Awards one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year.
