Azeezah confirmed as official host of 53rd Miss Intercontinental

Kenyan media personality Azeezah Hashim has been confirmed as the official host of the 53rd Miss Intercontinental pageant, set to take place in Sahl Hasheesh, Egypt from January 14 to 30, 2026.

The announcement was made by the Miss Intercontinental Organisation (MIO), marking a major milestone for the fast rising East African broadcaster.

Azeezah, who described herself as “truly grateful and honoured,” announced the news on social media, celebrating the opportunity to represent East Africa on what she termed as a global legacy stage.

She said, “From East Africa to the world, proud to represent my region on a global legacy stage. New Territory, Same purpose. Sahl Hasheesh, let’s rock and rumble.”

Azeezah will co-host the event alongside American presenter Lutz Riemenschneider.

The Miss Intercontinental Organisation hailed her as one of the most dynamic and in demand hosts of her generation.

With a growing career across radio, television, and major live events, Azeezah has built a strong reputation for confident stage presence, memorable delivery, and the ability to connect with diverse audiences.

"Africa meets America on one stage! Multi-award-winning TV host Azeezah Hashim teams up with American born Lutz Riemenschneider to host the 53rd Anniversary of Miss Intercontinental at the stunning Costa Sol Arena, Sahl Hasheesh," the organisation said.

Dubbed “The Media Messiah,” she has built a solid footprint in regional broadcasting.

She currently works with Hot96 FM in Kenya and has previously held key roles with NRG Radio in Uganda and various entertainment platforms across East Africa.

Azeezah also serves as a television host on 10over10 on Citizen TV, a position that has made her a recognisable face among young audiences.

Beyond radio and television, Azeezah has hosted more than 200 major events across East Africa.

These include stadium shows, corporate conferences, award ceremonies, fashion galas, concerts, and high-profile product launches.

Her wide-ranging portfolio and growing influence within the entertainment industry have made her one of the most sought after emcees in the region. 

The 53rd edition of Miss Intercontinental is expected to draw contestants and delegates from around the world for a two week period of high-level activities, cultural showcases, and themed events.

The final show will take place on January 29, 2026, culminating in a grand celebration in Egypt’s popular luxury destination of Sahl Hasheesh.

Azeezah's stage presence, often praised for its bold confidence, has earned her invitations to some of the region’s biggest entertainment events.

As preparations for the 53rd Miss Intercontinental begin, Azeezah’s involvement is expected to generate significant attention across East Africa and beyond.
