A video from a 2019 mega rally in Kisumu has resurfaced online, sparking a wave of disbelief and debate across Kenyan social media.
The footage captures Prophet David Owuor of the Repentance and Holiness Ministry making extraordinary claims about the creation of the universe.
In the recording, Owuor tells a large congregation that he was present when the cosmos was formed. He claims that he did not just watch the process but actively participated in it.

The "Celestial" Claim
The prophet described a scene where he assisted in the physical placement of celestial bodies.
"We created those planets," Owuor told the crowd. He went on to explain his specific role in the process, stating, "I was holding to put them in their orbit and on their matrix.
The preacher even invited his audience to consider the scale of such a feat. He remarked, "Imagine how big a hand one can be," while gesturing to indicate the size required to hold a planet.
Kenyans React with Scepticism
The reactions to the clip have been swift and largely critical. Many Kenyans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their confusion.
User @LilithBlack25 asked, "How do people buy such stories?". Another observer, @Kibet_bull, expressed surprise at the prophet’s demographic, noting, "I wonder, we even have lecturers following such."

A significant portion of the online commentary focused on the prophet's mental well-being. @SirmeWere commented, "I'm starting to believe that this guy isn't okay mentally." This sentiment was echoed by @MPlegal1, who stated, "This man has mental issues. This is not normal."
Other users used more blunt language. @Intelligent_Maa posted laughing emojis, saying, "This Prophet has gone nuts.”

Calls for Mental Health Reviews
The controversy also extended to the prophet's followers. Some critics argued that those who believe these claims might also need help.
@JCarhire suggested that "His followers need a full mental check-up. Urgently." @Dr_Masara was equally harsh, describing the followers as "dumb and gullible."
The Voice of the Faithful
Despite the heavy criticism, Owuor still maintains a loyal following. Some defenders chose to focus on the alleged miracles performed at his rallies rather than the scientific impossibility of his claims.
User @yegonbabaian defended the prophet, stating that while he might not understand how the planets were created, he sees the results of the ministry.
He claimed that "the cripples are walking, the blind receive sight," and described Owuor and his associates as the "MIGHTIEST PROPHETS OF JEHOVAH."
Prophet Owuor has made headlines for the better part of this year after the Medical Council, KMPDC, released a statement warning against his preachings on healing from HIV/AIDS through prayers.
Owuor is a former geneticist who transitioned into full-time ministry in the early 2000s. He is known for his "Mega Healing" rallies that often draw hundreds of thousands of people.
The 2019 Kisumu rally, where this video originated, was one of his largest events. At the time, the city was brought to a standstill as followers cleaned streets in anticipation of his arrival.
