Controversial YouTube personality Andrew Kibe has revealed why he avoids major social gatherings like weddings and burials.
Speaking on the Alex Mwakideu TV podcast, the former radio presenter shared his blunt views on tradition, religion, and the "fakeness" of modern society.
No Room for Ceremonies
Kibe stated clearly that he does not attend weddings or any similar public events. He told Mwakideu that he finds these occasions entirely unnecessary. For Kibe, the time spent on such ceremonies is a waste of resources and energy.

He pointed to specific parts of weddings that he finds particularly frustrating. Kibe mentioned that hours are often lost on trivial matters.
He complained that people might spend 30 minutes just discussing a wedding cake. In his view, he simply does not have the time for such activities.
"I don’t think it’s necessary... every wedding cake she’s going to spend 30 minutes discussing a cake. I don’t have that time,” he said.
Questioning Funerals and Faith
The content creator’s boycott extends to funeral services. Kibe questioned the relevance of religious figures in the context of mourning.
He expressed frustration with speakers who focus on religious history rather than the reality of the situation.
“Funeral service tells us about Jesus, who was 2,000 years ago. What is Jesus doing in our conversation? I think we have lost our way as a country, and we need to first things first get rid of religion,” he added.

Kibe argued that religion is a personal matter and should stay out of the public eye. He suggested that the country should move toward being a "godless society," citing China as a flourishing example of this approach.
He believes that when people stop focusing on divine intervention, they can focus more on practical human solutions.

Kibe’s refusal to attend these events is linked to his deep-seated distrust of modern marriage. He claimed that most married people are "fake" and live dishonest lives.
According to Kibe, if spouses knew the full truth about one another, their unions would not survive.
He stated that he has decided to distance himself from working with married men because he finds them untrustworthy. He believes they are prone to changing their minds and lack the commitment he values.
"Religion is your business; it’s not our business... don’t bring your delusions out here in the public."
The New Book and Tour
Kibe is currently promoting his new book, titled 28 Commandments: Journey into Manhood. He wrote the book to share the lessons he wishes he had known when he was 28 years old.
He is currently planning a promotional tour across various regions to reach his audience directly.
