YouTuber and content creator Desmond Scott has broken his silence following news that his wife of 11 years, Kristy Scott, has filed for divorce, citing alleged infidelity as the reason for the split.
In a heartfelt public statement, Desmond issued an apology to Kristy, their family, and supporters who have followed their journey over the years.
Acknowledging the disappointment surrounding the situation, he expressed remorse for the pain caused by the public nature of the separation.
“I want to begin by apologizing to Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation,” Desmond said. “I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I'm truly sorry for the hurt it has caused.”
Desmond emphasized that despite the breakdown of the marriage, co-parenting remains his top priority, noting that Kristy will always come first as the mother of their children. The couple shares two sons, and Desmond reaffirmed his commitment to being an active, present, and loving father.
Addressing the circumstances leading up to the divorce, Desmond revealed that the couple had faced ongoing challenges and made efforts to work through them. He disclosed that toward the end of 2025, he initiated conversations about separating and admitted to making choices during that period that he is not proud of.
“I took responsibility for those actions, I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce,” he stated, while asking the public for privacy and compassion as they navigate what he described as a difficult chapter.
Court documents filed in Harris County, Texas, indicate that Kristy cited alleged infidelity as the primary reason for seeking the divorce, stating that it had “completely wiped out any reasonable chance of reconciliation.” The paperwork also notes that the couple will soon stop living together as husband and wife.
The separation has come as a shock to fans, largely because Desmond and Kristy built a successful online brand together. Their content—often centered on family life, home design and renovation projects, cooking, and prank videos—portrayed a close-knit and playful partnership. However, Kristy last featured Desmond on her TikTok account in early December, a detail some followers now view as an early sign of trouble.
The pair’s history runs deep. They first met at the age of 14 before eventually tying the knot in 2014. Over the years, they grew both their family and their digital presence side by side, earning a loyal audience drawn to their authenticity and family-centered storytelling.
Despite the personal turmoil, Desmond signaled that he plans to continue creating content, particularly around his passion for cooking and the things that inspire him.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. I’m grateful for that support and will continue sharing my love for cooking and the things that inspire me,” he said.
