
World 10km record holder Agnes Ng’etich was in imperious form in the women’s senior 10km race at the World Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida, delivering a commanding performance to extend Kenya’s iron grip in the women's race.
Ng’etich seized control from the gun, dictating the tempo with authority before storming home in 31:28 to clinch her maiden global title emphatically.
Uganda’s Joy Cheptoyek battled for silver in 32:10, while Ethiopia’s Senayet Getachew completed the podium in 32:13 after a gritty late surge.

Frankline Kibet led the charge, surging to gold in 23:18.
Emmanuel Kiprono followed closely to claim silver in 23:20, while World U-20 5,000m champion Andrew Alamisi completed the sweep, crossing the line in 23:28 for bronze.
