
Police are investigating the death of a 70-year-old man whose body was found in a thicket in the Ngerenya area, Kilifi County.
The body, discovered on January 8 in the Tezo area, was reportedly decomposed, suggesting he had been dead for some time.
An identification card found in his pockets identified him as Emmanuel Randu Hare.
The circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy, and police said inquiries are ongoing to determine the motive and identify those responsible.
In Rabuor, Kisumu County, a man was found unconscious in his house following an alleged assault by unknown individuals.
He was taken to hospital, where he later died. Police identified him as Austine Ouko, 38.
The motive for the attack is not known.
Locals told authorities that four men known to the deceased may have been involved.
