Nairobi County Chief Officer Geofrey Mosiria has come to the defence of content creator Mitchell, popularly known as Mjaka Mfine.
The official, who oversees Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, addressed viral allegations that have been circulating online.
Recent unsubstantiated social media posts claimed that Mitchell was featured in a leaked adult video, a situation users ironically term as "uniting Kenyans.

A Guarded Response
Mosiria did not react immediately to the trending reports. Instead, he explained that he took time to gather facts and consult government experts. He noted that his role in Nairobi County gives him a duty to protect residents from false narratives.
"I chose not to rush to comment. Instead, I took time to gather facts, review evidence, and consult relevant government experts to establish the truth,” Mosiria said.
As a young person himself, the Chief Officer highlighted the dangers of digital defamation. He warned that a damaged reputation could cost a person their future opportunities and livelihoods.
The Truth About the Video
Mosiria was firm in his stance that Mitchell is innocent. He stated that he knows her personally and can confirm she is not the person in the footage.

According to Mosiria, the person in the circulating video is completely different from the content creator.

He described the attempts to link Mitchell’s name to the content as false and malicious. He also raised concerns about the timing of the smear campaign.
“For those who genuinely know our sister, the truth is clear: that is not her. I know her personally, and the person in the circulating video is completely different.”
Suspicious Timing and Rivalry
The Chief Officer noted that these posts appeared shortly after his younger brother, Mokaya, publicly showed interest in Mitchell. Mokaya is also a digital content creator.
Mosiria suggested that professional jealousy or fear in the competitive digital space might have triggered the attacks.
"In a highly competitive digital space, it is possible that rivals, fear, or jealousy contributed to the spread of this false and damaging content,” he stated.

Protecting a Brand
Beyond the personal attacks, Mosiria pointed out that Mitchell is a brand ambassador. Because of these allegations, she risks losing her "daily bread" and hard-earned opportunities.
Mosiria expressed sadness over how quickly society celebrates the downfall of others. However, he remained confident that the truth would prevail.
"Lies may trend, but they never last. Let us choose unity, truth, and responsibility, and stop destroying lives through fake content."
He concluded his statement by reassuring Mitchell, telling her to remain at peace because the truth is unquestionable.
Mitchell has built a significant following on platforms like TikTok, where she is known for her "Kienyeji" aesthetic and relatable content.
