Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has taken a bold step to clear her name following explosive allegations made during a public fallout with her husband, billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.
The actress recently found herself at the center of online controversy after Nwoko allegedly accused her of being a drug addict during their heated social media confrontation. The claim quickly spread across blogs and social platforms, sparking intense debate and scrutiny over Regina’s personal life.
In response, Regina chose action over silence.

Taking to social media, the young actress revealed that she had taken a drug test to put the allegations to rest, describing the past few months as one of the most emotionally taxing periods of her life.
“The past few months of my life have been nothing short of heavy,” she wrote, opening up about a season that shook her deeply and forced her into serious self-reflection. Regina admitted that everything she thought she knew seemed to be “drowning” before her eyes, but she credits overwhelming love and support from family, friends and even members of the public for helping her stay afloat.
According to Regina, the decision to take the drug test was not driven by pressure, but by principle.
“I decided to take this test because I owe it to the people who stood by me… Integrity matters. Accountability matters. Peace of mind especially matters,” she explained.

Addressing the allegation head-on, Regina questioned the narrative that had been pushed about her, saying she took a moment to look inward before realizing that the accusations had nothing to do with her reality.
“One thing that echoed loudly across the media was, ‘Regina is a drug addict.’ I paused, then I checked again… I searched for this so-called addict,” she wrote, adding that the experience made her realize how often people project their fears and insecurities onto others.

In a powerful message of self-definition, the actress made it clear that she refuses to be shaped by public opinion.
“Do you allow yourself to be defined by other people’s opinions, or do you create your own narrative?” she asked, firmly stating that she chooses to define her own story.
Regina described this phase of her life as one centered on self-discovery, growth and renewed intentionality, expressing gratitude to God for grace and strength throughout the ordeal.
“I’m still standing, still growing and just getting started,” she concluded, ending her statement on a hopeful note as she ushered in the new year with resilience and resolve.
