Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka have encouraged young Africans to embrace purpose, resilience, and faith as key pillars of leadership.

The two leaders spoke during an interactive session with winners and alumni of the Future Africa Leaders Awards in Lagos, Nigeria.

The forum, held at Omnia Towers, focused on overcoming self-doubt, recognising individual purpose, and understanding that meaningful change is often driven by small but consistent actions.

The two leaders urged participants to remain grounded in their values while navigating leadership challenges.

Uhuru and Kalonzo emphasised that leadership potential exists in every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, and challenged the young leaders to use their influence to create positive change within their communities.

The Future Africa Leaders Awards, founded by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, recognises and supports outstanding young Africans who are driving social, economic, and community development initiatives across the continent.
