Addressing the congregation, Ruto said leaders seeking to challenge him politically must first present a clear agenda and demonstrate a record of performance.
He emphasised that leadership should be judged by tangible results rather than popularity or crowd-pleasing rhetoric.
“As leaders, we must be accountable. You should not be a person whom people just clap for and dance for. You must deliver,” Ruto told the congregation.

The President said Kenyans should scrutinise those aspiring for leadership positions and demand proof of what they have achieved during their time in public office.
He added that accountability and service delivery should be the key measures of leadership, not political theatrics or empty promises.
Ruto urged leaders at all levels of government to focus on meeting the needs of citizens, saying effective leadership requires commitment, integrity and the ability to translate plans into meaningful development outcomes for communities across the country.
