Reality TV Star Vera Sidika milking a cow/FBA video of influencer and reality TV star Vera Sidika milking cows has sparked widespread conversation online, with Kenyans offering a mix of praise, humour, scepticism and unsolicited farming advice.
The clip, shared on her social media pages during the festive season, shows Vera stepping into a cow shed and confidently taking on a task more commonly associated with rural life than celebrity glamour.
The unexpected scene quickly caught the attention of netizens, many of whom were surprised to see the socialite embracing village routines.
Before releasing the video, Vera had posted photos of herself milking a cow, accompanied by a playful caption that set the tone for the reactions that followed.
“Village baddie in her natural habitat. If you’ve been wondering where I disappeared to, this is it. Waluhya ushago is a Christmas MUST… now let’s milk this cow,” she wrote.
The photos alone were enough to spark doubt and curiosity.
One user, Becky Becky, demanded proof beyond still images, commenting, “Nionyeshe maziwa isiwe ni picha tu,” (Show me the milk so it doesn’t end up just being pictures)
Vera appeared to take the challenge in stride.
In the video, she is seen walking toward a cowshed, opening the door and stepping inside where several dairy cows are resting.
Smiling, she pets one of the cows before settling on a stone next to another cow that is standing.
She then begins milking, with milk visibly streaming into a metallic bucket, offering visual confirmation that quickly silenced some doubters.
After finishing, she exits the shed and closes the door behind her.
Sharing the clip, Vera captioned it, “Not your ordinary baddie. I enjoy milking cows. Merry Christmas y’all,” further fueling engagement and debate in the comment section.
As expected, Kenyans did not hold back.
Some praised her confidence and willingness to embrace rural life.
“She’s talented in this,” wrote Keri Perry, while Onesmus Nzoka simply commented, “Very nice.”
Others expressed admiration mixed with humour. Maxcin Maxcin Wamz jokingly asked whether she could “break the existing record for hand-milking more than 60 cows.”
Melissa Rebah admired Vera’s courage, admitting her own fear of cows.
“Wueeeeh, I need to come for classes. My great desire is knowing how to milk but I fear cows. I tried once and it almost kicked me, I ran away,” she wrote.
Cultural observations also emerged.
Hazel Cheroo commented, “Huku kwetu aturuhusiwi kukama kama tumepaka makucha,” noting that in her community, milking cows while wearing nail polish is frowned upon.
Others took a more light-hearted stance, with James Temesi quipping, “Mimi kazi yangu ni kushangaa tu mkuru wa Njenga,” meaning he was simply watching in amazement.
Not all reactions were flattering.
Some questioned Vera’s technique, with Godwin Kīlonźo offering unsolicited advice: “Very poor milking technique. Stop pulling teats, squeeze them instead.”
A few went as far as doubting the video’s authenticity altogether.
“AI,” commented Washuka Jess, suggesting the clip might not be real.
There were also those who saw opportunity rather than controversy. One user, Uuezz Nalton, asked directly for employment, writing, “I need a job on your farm, beautiful.”
