Police are investigating an incident in which a 21-year-old man was stabbed and killed during a fight at a bar in Maili Saba, Trans Nzoia County.
A second man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was also stabbed in the fight on Monday morning.
A brawl broke out at the bar in the Emoru area when the incident occurred.
Sila Wanyoike Mwaura was stabbed in the femoral vein and died on arrival at a local hospital. The second victim was stabbed in the lower abdomen and left upper arm and was treated at a local hospital.
Police later responded to the scene and arrested two suspects in connection with the incident. The murder weapon was also recovered.
Police said it was not clear what triggered the fight as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Meanwhile, detectives in Wajir Town are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found in an open ground.
Police said the body had been dragged to the scene from the primary crime scene.
The motive for the murder was not immediately known. The unidentified body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and an autopsy.
In Metkei, Elgeyo Marakwet County, a man was fatally assaulted during a traditional circumcision event. He was identified as Nathan Kipyator Mutai, 35.
Police said they are looking for the suspects behind the murder. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.
In Kitui’s Migwani area, one Simon Musumbi, 20, was found dead following a suspected drowning incident.
His body was found in an embankment along the Kitulani Kwa Veke seasonal river, police said.

In Embu’s Kianjokoma area, a boy aged one and a half years drowned in River Kamwangi.
The child had been playing outside their home when he strayed into the river. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Police and Kenya Wildlife Service officials are also investigating an incident in which human remains were found by the roadside following a fatal attack by a suspected wild animal in Rumuruti, Laikipia County.
A skull and pieces of bones, together with clothes and shoes, were found scattered kilometres away from where a man had been reported missing.
The remains are believed to be those of Stephen Ekale, 22, who was reported missing on December 14, 2025. They were found along the Rumuruti–Nanyuki road.
The shoes were identified as belonging to Ekale and, together with the skull and bones, were moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations into the discovery made on December 21, 2025.
Police advised the family to file a compensation claim.
