Wiper Women Democrats on Tuesday hosted a colourful birthday celebration in honour of Wiper Patriotic Front Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who will turn 71 years old on Christmas Eve.

The event was organised by the Wiper Women Democrats and held at Kalonzo’s Yatta ranch in Machakos County.

The celebration was marked by pomp, music and dance as the women gathered to celebrate the milestone in the former Vice President’s life and political journey.

Dressed in Wiper party colours, the women sang, danced and shared messages of goodwill, praising Kalonzo’s leadership, resilience and long-standing contribution to Kenya’s politics.

More than 500 women drawn from different parts of the country attended the event, demonstrating strong grassroots support for the Wiper leader.

The gathering provided an opportunity for the women to interact, celebrate unity within the party and reaffirm their loyalty to Kalonzo as their political leader.

Speaking during the event, several leaders described Kalonzo as a symbol of peace, dialogue and inclusive leadership, noting that his political career has been defined by efforts to promote national cohesion.

The women said the early birthday celebration was a gesture of appreciation for his mentorship and support for women’s participation in politics.

The women wished Kalonzo good health and many more years of leadership as he approaches his 71st birthday on December 24.
