Mudavadi, who had travelled overseas, visited his late friend's family upon his arrival in the country.
"I visited the family of the late Cyrus Jirongo to condole with them and offer my personal support at their Gigiri home in Nairobi," he said on Friday.
The Prime CS encouraged the family to remain strong and steadfast in prayer, even as plans for Jirongo's final interment in Lugari Constituency, Kakamega County, progress.
He also shared a message about the former legislature, saying he touched many lives and made his mark on Kenya’s political landscape.
"To my brother, you were determined, vibrant and humorous in your own way as you pursued your goals and objectives. But God’s ways are always beyond us," he added.
"May your soul rest in eternal peace."
He condoled with the Jirongo's widows and his children.
"Pole Sana, Mama Christine Nyokabi Jirongo, Mama Anne Lanoi Jirongo and Mama Anne Kanini Jirongo, your children and entire family."

Police said he sustained a severe head injury following a head-on- collision with a bus, and died on the spot.
Following his death, Mudavadi shared a tribute, noting that Kenya had lost a leader whose influence helped shape politics, business landscape and national story for decades.
"Jirongo was a witty and warm-hearted leader, always approachable, never dismissive, and known for offering a listening ear to anyone who sought his time," Mudavadi said on December 13.
"He carried himself with a simplicity that made him relatable to people from all walks of life."
Mudavadi recalled how Jirongo captured national attention in the early 90s when, at a remarkably young age, he helped steer the YK ’92 movement during late former President Daniel Arap Moi’s re-election campaign in the early multiparty era.
"His agility, courage and boldness defined his entry into Kenya’ political landscape," he added.
