
The family, friends and politicians attended former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo’s post-mortem exercise in Nairobi.
The exercise was conducted at Lee Funeral Home in the presence of family pathologist Joseph Ndung’u and Chief Government Pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor.
The results showed that Jirongo died from blunt force trauma that caused severe injuries to the chest and abdomen.

Dr Ndung’u said Jirongo’s body had multiple injuries.
He noted that the deceased had two fractures on the right hand and fractures on the lower limbs.
“There was a crush injury to the chest with multiple rib fractures, perforation of the heart with rupture of the major vessels connected to the heart. There was also bleeding into the chest cavity,” he said.
