Betty Bayo's daughter, Sky, has openly shown support for her stepfather, Hiram Gitau alias Tash, by sharing a tender video of him caring for her younger brother, Danny (Danivictor). The post comes as Tash faces intense accusations and custody demands following the gospel singer's death.
In the video, Tash is seen preparing Danny for an outing. The little boy, dressed in a matching orange jersey top and shorts, stands patiently as Tash buttons his shirt, sprays perfume on his vest and neck, applies lotion to his head, massages and brushes it neatly, helps him with socks, and gives a final spray on his armpits.
Tash then instructs Danny to return the items to the bedroom. Sky captioned the clip: "Dad getting Danny ready for an outing. Father-son moment."
The heartwarming post quickly garnered supportive comments from social media users:
@It's Frozy: "Tash and Wanjeri should be granted best step-parent."
@Loner: "Wahenga hawaamini ati baba wa kambo ni baba."
@Val: "Betty, you chose right."
@Fiestagal: "Deep down, I am praying that Tash stays with these kids."
@Nancy Mukami: "Show some love to the dad."
@Tyler Kababa: "Hii tunaenda nayo hadi court kama evidence, iko kwa kalatas."
@Njeri: "Hamjui Danny ndiye alijitafutie baba yake, shindeni hapo."
@Jayne: "You can tell from the bond that he is a kind man. Kids do not know how to fake things."
Backstory: Family Tensions After Betty Bayo's Death
Gospel singer Betty Bayo died on November 10, 2025, at Kenyatta National Hospital while battling an aggressive form of blood cancer (leukaemia).
Family conflicts surfaced soon after her burial. Her brother, Edward Kang’ethe Mbugua, alleged online that relatives were not informed about the severity of her illness and claimed to have found unpaid bills at her home on the day she passed.

Betty's mother, Joyce Wairimu Mbugua, who resides in the US, escalated matters by calling for an inquest. She stated the family was unaware of any pre-existing conditions, claimed Betty and Tash had separated months earlier, and asserted they were never officially married.
She urged Pastor Victor Kanyari—Betty's ex-husband and biological father of Sky and Danny—to take custody, arguing the current environment was unsuitable.
She also vowed to protect Betty’s assets for the children and, upon returning to Kenya, to seek exhumation for an autopsy.

Pastor Kanyari responded publicly in a video, urging Tash to respect the grieving mother's wishes. “I have been quiet, just watching things unfold. I am touched by what that woman is going through,” he said.
“Tash, listen to her wishes so that you do not attract a curse... She is over 70; let us respect her.” He echoed claims of prior separation but stressed he had no interest in Betty’s property and only cared for everyone's welfare.
Despite the public friction, both Kanyari and Tash have expressed mutual respect, emphasising their shared concern for the children's well-being. The dispute continues to unfold amid ongoing grief.
