During a recent interview, lifestyle content creator, media influencer, and law practitioner Corazon Kwamboka spoke candidly about her journey to motherhood, reflecting on the challenges she faced before conceiving during bethatwoman podcast.

Kwamboka revealed that if she had overthought her situation, she might not have pursued motherhood at all.

“I always ask people, ‘Do you think there is a time you’ll be ready for me?’” she shared, recounting conversations with her close circle. “You said that you didn’t think of it.”

The media personality revealed that she had battled endometriosis and fibroids, conditions that significantly impacted her reproductive health.

During her first year of trying to conceive, Kwamboka underwent surgery to remove the endometriosis. Following the procedure, she was on medication to support her fertility.

Advice From Her Mother

Kwamboka recalled experiencing hot flashes and sweating, which she linked to what she described as an early menopause-like experience. “I have experienced menopause already; you really can’t get pregnant,” she said during the interview.

These symptoms, combined with medication-related side effects, made it difficult for her to recognise what was happening.

She described feeling bloated while on a trip to the Coast, alongside tenderness in her breasts. According to her, she mentioned the discomfort to her mother, who suggested that such symptoms could be associated with pregnancy.
