'Why Now?' Kenyans Ask as Kanyari Leaks Heartfelt Texts From Daughter Sky

Pastor Kanyari has released yet another private exchange with his daughter, Sky Victor, adding to a string of screenshots he has shared over the past week.

The controversial preacher has been attempting to prove that he has consistently covered his children’s school fees, a claim many doubted even after he previously stated he had paid KSh 500,000 towards their education.

Sky Thanks Her Father in Heartfelt Message

In his latest post, Kanyari shared a WhatsApp chat with Sky, whom he has saved in his phone as “Sky My Daughter.” In the conversation, Sky expresses heartfelt gratitude, addressing him warmly as Baba and thanking him for clearing her school fees.

“Thank you Baba, you are the best. Now I can go to school. You are the best father anybody can ask for,” she wrote.

Kanyari responded with a penguin emoji and a baby bottle, a reply that left Sky slightly puzzled.

Another screenshot shows Sky informing him that she was breaking for midterm and asking when he planned to pick her up.

Kenyans Question Motive Behind the Leaks

The online reaction to these posts has been mixed.

Novince Euralia criticised the pastor, noting that the chats appear to be from 2023 and 2024, and questioned why he would circulate them while his daughter is publicly pleading not to be trolled.

Mary Kazz Njoroge also challenged Kanyari’s motivation, asking why he seemed to present educating his own children as though it were a favour.

Custody Rumours and Family Tension After Bayo’s Death

The leaked conversations come shortly after Sky addressed rumours that her biological father, Kanyari, and her stepfather, Tash, were involved in a custody dispute following the death of her mother, singer Betty Bayo.

Sky and her brother Danny were fathered by Kanyari, and despite the separation from Bayo, the pair had been co-parenting until her passing.

Sky Clarifies Her Relationship With Both Fathers

In a recent emotional video, Sky clarified that she has not rejected her biological father, dismissing speculation that she was choosing sides.

“I still love both of my fathers. I’m not picking sides; I love them both. Life will continue whether she is here or not. Please be careful. Don’t bully my Baba and Dad — you don’t know what is happening behind the scenes,” she said.

A Tribute to Her Late Mother

She urged the public to avoid making assumptions and spoke fondly of her mother’s unwavering support in her content creation journey.

“I want mum to rest in peace. She was buried yesterday, and it was painful watching her coffin lowered. I’m lost for words, but I will make her proud. I shared my dreams with her, and I will achieve them. Hii kitu imeniuma sana,” she added.
