Mama Ida Odinga receives a Bible from Embakasi East MP Babu Owino/HANDOUT

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on Wednesday visited former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s widow, Mama Ida Odinga, at her Opoda home in Siaya.

Babu’s visit comes after several leaders made similar visits following Raila’s death last month.

He also took the opportunity to visit Kang’o ka Jaramogi, where Raila was laid to rest, places he described as rich in history, legacy, and honour.

During the visit, Babu said he presented Mama Ida with a Holy Bible “as a sacred guide to illuminate her path, strengthen her spirit, and offer light through every turn of her journey.”

He added that, in the same spirit of respect, he offered bulls as a traditional gesture of honour.
