Azeezah Hashim Explains Her Decision to Step Back From Dating for 3 Whole Years!

Media personality Azeezah Hashim spoke about the personal impact of her demanding career, sharing that her schedule has left little room for friendships or romantic relationships.

The discussion took place during an interview with filmmaker Phil Karanja, where Hashim reflected on how the pace of her professional journey has shaped her private life.

Career Demands Limiting Personal and Romantic Relationships

When asked what her hard work had cost her, Hashim highlighted the effect on social and intimate connections. She responded:

"It's cost me my personal life that is my friendships my my family and of course your own relationships whether it's romantic relationships or just friendships in general".

Hashim further explained that dating requires a level of time and communication she is unable to sustain. She said:
"I don't even get time to date so cuz you'll have a conversation with someone and then after that you know like the whole day WhatsApp, right."

Three-Year Dating Break and Reflections on Spiritual Alignment

Hashim shared that she has made a deliberate decision to step away from dating in order to focus on her goals. She stated:

"I’ve set a timeline for myself. I told myself 3 years no man, no dating, no nothing."

During the interview, Hashim described her belief that dating carries spiritual significance and requires alignment that she is not seeking at this stage.

She said: "Cuz I also believe dating is very spiritual".

She continued:
 "And when you are at your peak or your you have a vision or a mission you’re going somewhere mhm that process is very spiritual and alignment is everything so I need my energy to be solely focused on me wow."

Hashim also referenced her younger self and the expectations she once held about marriage. She remarked:

"Girl you're not married yet you wanted to get married at 23. Come on be serious".

Azeezah Shuts Down Malicious Relationship Claims

In September 2025, the media personality finally addressed persistent rumours surrounding her personal life.

The TV and radio presenter dismissed claims that she was romantically involved with someone in government, describing the speculation as entirely false.

During an Instagram Live session over the weekend, Azeezah spoke candidly about the gossip. She clarified that while she has a parent who works in government, she is not dating anyone in the sector.

“I have a parent in government, but me dating someone in government? I am not dating anybody. People are just making things up. I’ve been busy — I was in Uganda shooting until late last night and just came home to rest. I know you’re all looking for a story, but there isn’t one,” she explained.

Hashim has acknowledged that visibility in the public domain can lead to speculation, commentary, and questioning about dating life, even when unrelated to her professional work.
