According to the album’s profile, the songwriting team includes Didier Madzayo, Olvine Japhet, Nviiri, Bosco Baya, and Jerry Ogallo — a collective that shapes the album’s deep, narrative-driven approach.

Madzayo’s re-entry into music was supported by respected industry veterans who encouraged him to reclaim his space. Among them are Them Mushrooms legend John Katana (Uncle), former TPF5 Academy Principal Hellen Mtawali, and DJ Shanga Tatu, who played pivotal roles in rebuilding his confidence.

“People like Madam Hellen and Uncle John Katana reminded me that I needed to get back my spot in the music industry. That pushed me to make a comeback with a gift to my fans, The Project Didier Album,” Madzayo told Nairobi News in an exclusive phone interview.

Before this revival, the artist had taken a prolonged break, leaving many fans questioning whether he would ever return. Madzayo revealed that his hiatus stemmed from a combination of family disputes, work-related pressure, and profound mental health struggles, which eventually led him into depression.

Seeking healing, he embarked on a transformational journey to Peru, where he underwent plant-based medicine and spiritual therapy deep within the Amazon Forest. Guided by Shipibo Tribe healers — referred to as light workers — and the ancestral ceremonies of Great Grandmother Ayahuasca, Madzayo worked to restore his mental and emotional wellbeing.

He credits the Peru experience for grounding him and sparking the creative rebirth that resulted in Project Didier. With renewed clarity and purpose, he returned to the studio to craft an album now gaining momentum across major platforms.

Known for his emotive storytelling and heartfelt honesty, Madzayo expresses deep gratitude to the people who stood by him through his darkest and brightest chapters — his family, supporters, mentors, and loyal fans.

His journey from silence to rediscovery forms the emotional backbone of Project Didier. The album is more than a musical debut; it is a personal testament of healing, awakening, and resilience.

Each track chronicles a different chapter of his transformation — from pain to peace, confusion to clarity, and loss to love.

Ultimately, Project Didier stands as a powerful reminder that no matter how far one drifts, their inner light remains intact, waiting — just as his fans did — for the moment of return.
