Former Machachari actress Wanjiku Mburu, fondly remembered for her role as Mama Baha, is mourning the loss of her real-life sister, Gracie Wangui, who was also part of the beloved TV show.

Gracie, known on screen as Mama Bob, tragically passed away in South Africa following a road accident on October 28, 2025.

In a more recent post, Wanjiku shared a moving video of herself laying flowers by the roadside in Moy River, Durban, where her sister reportedly spent her final moments.

Dressed simply in denim shorts, a white sweater, and crocs, she braved the misty weather to honour her sister’s memory.

“South Africa, Durban, to be specific Moy River — and this is where my sister had her last moments. I am just here to lay this flower in remembrance of her. In loving memory of Grace Wangui Mburu,” she said tearfully.

She concluded her tribute with the heartfelt words, “28.10.2025. Gracie, you are dated forever.”
