Kenyan content creator Mwalimu Kiragu, whose real name is Gadwilliam Kiragu Kimani, recently shared personal details about his life, family, and everyday habits in a fun and candid quickfire session with journalist Kalondu Musyimi of Mpasho that gave fans a glimpse into his personality beyond the camera.
Kiragu explained that he goes by several names — “William, Gadwilliam, and Kiragu zote” — a reflection of the many phases of his life.
The 21-year-old, known for his humour and relatable skits, described himself as easygoing and family-oriented.
When asked about his height, he jokingly responded, “5 kitu but mi sai mrefu sana,” showing his signature wit that has made him a fan favourite online.

Google Searches and Honest Confessions
In a playful segment, Kiragu revealed that his current Google search was about car interiors: “Honda Fit 2010 interior.” When pressed on whether he had ever searched for anything embarrassing, he laughed it off, saying, “Sidhani kunayo.”
When asked about the last time he lied, Kiragu admitted, “I’m not going to lie, ilikua kitambo sana, I think nikiwa primary.” His straightforward and humorous answers reflected his grounded personality and honesty.

Kiragu described his mother as his best friend, emphasizing how close he is to his family. He shared that the person he calls the most is his dad, while he texts both his mum and dad the most.

Everyday Life and Food Preferences
When it comes to food, Kiragu said he is not a picky eater — with a few exceptions.
“As long as chakula inakulika mi ntaikula lakini isikue ni michiri, mukimo hizo,” he said, making it clear that traditional dishes like mukimo are not his favourite.
Asked about what meal he dislikes most, he laughed and added, “Naeza sema nini kenye sipendi ni hizo mukimo.”
However, Kiragu takes pride in his cooking skills, saying he can prepare several dishes well.
“Napikanga chakula mzuri mingi but ile naeza sema nimeivia maybe rice njahi, chapati kamande, chapati mbosho.”
A Simple, Relatable Personality
Despite his growing fame, Kiragu maintains a humble and down-to-earth lifestyle. When asked about the emoji he uses the most, he said, “Ya kucheka kama kichwa imeinama,” a perfect fit for someone whose content revolves around humour and joy.

At just 21, Kiragu represents a new generation of Kenyan entertainers who balance authenticity with creativity — drawing laughter while staying connected to their roots and family.
