Kenyan Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki has once again found himself at the center of online attention after responding sharply to a fan’s comment on his Facebook page.
The exchange began when a social media user commented under one of Samidoh’s posts, alleging that the musician should “desist from sleeping with other people’s wives.”
In response, Samidoh wrote: “Fanya bidii basi bibi yako hatateseka nikiwa hai.”
The comment quickly spread across various social media platforms, sparking debate and drawing mixed reactions from fans.
The brief interaction attracted widespread attention, with screenshots shared across entertainment pages and blogs.

Some interpreted the response as a display of humour, while others viewed it as inappropriate for a public figure.
Samidoh did not issue any follow-up statements after his reply, but the moment reignited discussions about how celebrities navigate criticism and public engagement in the digital era.
Samidoh’s Past Relationships
Samidoh’s personal life has long been intertwined with his public image. The Mugithi artist has two publicly known partners — Edday Nderitu, his wife, and Senator Karen Nyamu, with whom he shares children.
His relationship with Karen Nyamu first became public in 2021, when videos and photos of the two surfaced online.
Following public speculation, Samidoh issued a statement acknowledging his involvement with Nyamu and apologizing to his wife and fans.
In late 2022, their relationship hit turbulence after a public incident in Dubai during which Nyamu announced she had decided to end things with Samidoh.
In 2024, Nyamu confirmed that the two had officially gone their separate ways, clarifying that she had ended the relationship, citing personal and professional reasons.
Meanwhile, Edday Nderitu, who relocated to the United States in early 2023 with her children, had previously stated that she was stepping away from what she termed a “toxic environment.”
However, by July 2025, reports surfaced that Samidoh and Edday had reconciled. The couple was seen sharing a kiss during a TikTok live stream, marking their first public display of affection after a period of separation.

Shortly afterward, photos emerged of them on a family outing with their children, fueling speculation that they had rekindled their relationship.
Public Image and Celebrity-Fan Dynamics
The recent exchange highlights the continuing scrutiny that follows Samidoh, whose life is closely followed by fans beyond his music.
With over a million followers on social media, the singer regularly engages with his audience — a level of accessibility that often leads to unfiltered conversations.
Samidoh has not commented further on the Facebook exchange.

Despite the ongoing attention surrounding his personal affairs, Samidoh continues to perform at major events and remains one of Kenya’s most popular Mugithi artists.
