Kenyan content creator Ms Mueni has stirred reflection across social platforms after making a heartfelt statement about her final wish.
In a candid video shared in her Instagram stories , she revealed that when she dies, she does not want makeup applied to her face, saying she prefers to be remembered in her most natural state.
“Naona watu wanapeana maagizo wafanyiwe nini wakikufa, basi mimi nina maagizo yangu — nikifa nisifanyiwe makeup,” she said.
Her straightforward words captured attention for their honesty, highlighting her long-held belief in authenticity and self-acceptance, even in death.
“I Don’t Like Makeup or Wigs”
Expanding on her statement, Ms Mueni explained that her dislike for makeup and wigs goes beyond preference — it’s part of her identity.
“Kuna kitu moja hamjui kwamba mimi sipendi makeup na sipendi wig. Navaanga tu kwa sababu inanibidi. But if I was given a choice, ningenyoa kipara na nikae hivi na sura,” she added.
Her confession offered an unfiltered look into her life, contrasting with the image-driven nature of social media, where appearance often takes center stage. Mueni’s words reflected a deeper philosophy about living and leaving life on one’s own terms.
Not the First to Declare a Final Wish
Ms Mueni joins a growing list of Kenyan public figures who have openly shared their wishes about how they want to be remembered after death.
Recently, musician and entrepreneur Akothee made headlines when she revealed her own instructions — stating that when she dies, she should be buried within 48 hours and that no food should be served at her funeral.

These declarations show a rising trend among Kenyan celebrities using their platforms to address mortality and personal legacy — conversations that were once considered taboo in public spaces.
