The Tana River County Government has announced 95 job vacancies across multiple departments as part of a drive to strengthen county operations and improve service delivery.

In a notice published by the County Public Service Board, the county invited applications from qualified and competent individuals to fill senior and mid-level positions in various sectors.

The recruitment, issued in the line with the County Governments Act, 2012, and the Constitution, includes Director, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director positions as well as several technical and support roles.

Among the top posts advertised are director of roads and public works, director of health services, director of water superintending, director of finance and budgeting, director of human resource management and development, and director of revenue

Others are the director of trade, tourism, and culture, the director of environment and natural resources, the director of vocational training, youth and sports, the director of cooperative development, and the director of livestock and veterinary services.

Other opportunities include deputy directors of enforcement and administration, assistant directors in supply chain, agriculture, fisheries, urban planning, and gender services, as well as principal administrative officers, economists, and cooperative development officers.

The advertisement also lists numerous technical positions such as agricultural officers, plant operators, cooks, agricultural technologists, and assistant cooperative officers, many of which have several vacancies.

According to the county public service board, all applications must be submitted online via the portal www.jobs.tanarivercpsb.go.ke.

The deadline for applications is November 14, 2025, at 12 am.

Counties have been hiring to fill the gaps and increase output.

Earlier on, the Kisii County Public Service Board announced 498 vacancies in two different departments.

This includes the department of medical services, public health and sanitation, and the department of education, technical training, innovation, and social sciences.

Interested and eligible applicants are required to submit a cover letter clearly stating the position for which they are applying, a detailed curriculum vitae (CV), copies of their IDs, and certified academic and professional certificates.
