Nigerian actress and social media influencer Regina Daniels has made a public return to Instagram just days after a viral video in which she appeared distressed, claiming that her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, was physically abusing her.

In the emotional video, which circulated widely across TikTok and Instagram, Regina could be seen holding back tears as she said, “In my house, I am a queen, but in Ned’s house, I am nothing.”

The statement immediately sparked widespread concern from fans and the public, many of whom demanded accountability and clarity from both sides.

“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem,” Nwoko said. “She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety.”

He went on to allege that Regina had recently exhibited violent behavior  slapping and hitting three staff members and destroying property, including cars and windows.

Nwoko added that he had offered his wife two options for rehabilitation, either at a facility in Asokoro or abroad in Jordan, where “she will not have access to drugs.”

The senator also maintained that none of his other wives had ever accused him of violence, insisting that Regina’s behavior was the result of her ongoing health challenges.

“Regina is the violent one here,” he continued. “The truth is, I have set clear conditions for her to accept rehabilitation.”

Regina’s Response: ‘In My House I Am a Queen’

Days after her husband’s statement, Regina resurfaced on Instagram, posting new photos of herself beside and inside a luxurious home believed to be her new residence. In the caption, she wrote:

“In my house I am a Queen! ? I needed a roof over my head so I got this for me and my family ?.”

The post, which quickly gained thousands of comments, is seen by many as Regina’s subtle response to the controversy — a declaration of independence and self-worth amid the ongoing domestic turmoil.

Public Reaction and Ongoing Debate

Regina’s situation has triggered conversations online about domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental health within celebrity relationships. Supporters have praised her for speaking out, while others have urged caution, calling for both parties to seek professional help.

This is not the first time the couple — who married in 2019 and share two sons — have faced public scrutiny over their relationship, particularly due to their age difference and the complexities of Nwoko’s polygamous household.

For now, neither Regina nor Nwoko has confirmed whether they plan to separate or seek counseling. Still, Regina’s latest post suggests she is focused on rebuilding stability for herself and her children — and reclaiming her identity on her own terms.
