Chaos in parliament as Raila's body moved to Kasarani for public viewing

Chaos has rocked Parliament as mourners attempted to push their way into the compound.

The mourners had gathered to view the body of the late Raila Odinga.

However, due to security concerns and logistical challenges, planners cancelled the viewing at Parliament and instead moved it to Kasarani Stadium.

Several lawmakers, including Babu Owino, Sylvanus Osoro, Otiende Amollo, Ledama Olekina, and Tom Ojienda, tried to persuade the crowd in vain.

“Raila was a movement. Parliament has proved too small for them. That is why we are requesting everyone to move to Kasarani,” Olekina said.

Babu Owino and Otiende Amollo were forced to climb the fence to engage with the agitated crowd.
