The long-running rivalry between rap superstars Cardi B and Nicki Minaj has erupted once again, reigniting one of hip-hop’s most famous feuds.
The drama spilled over onto social media after Nicki appeared to mock Cardi’s new album Am I the Drama? and made pointed remarks about her pregnancy.
Nicki’s Shade
Nicki Minaj, 42, sparked controversy when she shared a meme in her x account alongside a cryptic caption: “Raw doggin pregnant wit dat 4th babeeee Barney B. BV. HPveeeeeee Allegedlyyyyyy.”

She also ridiculed Cardi’s Billboard No. 1 track Magnet, nicknaming her “Barney Dangerous,” and suggested that Cardi’s decision to price her album at $4.99 on iTunes reflected desperation.
This kind of jab is not new for Nicki, who has a history of taking subliminal shots at female rappers she perceives as rivals.
Still, her direct targeting of Cardi immediately triggered a wave of responses across social media.

Cardi Strikes Back
Cardi B, 32, wasted no time in firing back. In a fiery post, she accused Nicki of repeatedly bringing up her pregnancy and went on to make personal digs at her rival’s fertility struggles.
“Alright now this the third tweet talkin about my pregnancy… like you wasn’t going to different fertility doctors cuz you couldn’t reproduce from all them percs scrambling your eggs. NOT ALLEGEDLY… Lord protect my babies,” Cardi tweeted.
She followed this with another sharp dismissal of Nicki’s comparisons:
“Why you keep bringing up my album?? You been in the game like 16 years. You need to compare yourself to YOUR peers—Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake. Those are the numbers you need to be competing with. I was in high school when you came out. Wtf is you comparing yourself to me for??”
By framing the feud as a generational gap, Cardi positioned Nicki as out of step for insisting on direct comparisons despite their careers starting years apart.
A History of Tension
This latest clash is far from the first. The two rappers’ tension dates back to Cardi’s breakout success with Bodak Yellow in 2017, which many saw as a challenge to Nicki’s dominance.
Their rivalry famously escalated in 2018 during New York Fashion Week when a physical altercation broke out. Since then, they have traded barbs through interviews, music, and constant social media shots.

Fan Reactions
As expected, the feud has once again divided their fan bases. Nicki’s Barbz and Cardi’s Bardi Gang flooded platforms like X and Instagram with hashtags, memes, and heated debates.
While some fans called for unity between the two female rap heavyweights, others argued that the back-and-forth keeps the rap game alive and competitive.
What’s Next?
At the moment, Nicki has yet to respond directly to Cardi’s fiery clapbacks. But given their history of prolonged exchanges, fans are bracing for more drama in the days ahead.
For now, the clash remains a reminder of the high-stakes rivalries that continue to shape hip-hop—where personal conflicts often spill into the public eye, fuelling debate, division, and global headlines.
