The Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB) has wrapped up a one-day knowledge-sharing workshop that brought together county leaders in health and finance to explore new strategies for improving health outcomes in the region.

The forum convened County Executive Committee Members (CECMs), County Attorneys, Chief Officers, and Caucus members to deliberate on strengthening Primary Health Care (PHC) and Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH+N) systems.

A central focus of the discussions was the expansion of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination at county level, with health experts underscoring its importance in protecting adolescent health.

Participants were also introduced to the Championing Evidence-Based Advocacy (CEBA) Project, which provides counties with practical tools to design and implement advocacy strategies tailored to local needs.

By fostering collaboration and enhancing county-level advocacy capacity, the workshop set the foundation for stronger policy integration, greater domestic financing, and more accountable delivery of health services across the bloc.
