Amapiano fever is about to hit Eldoret like never before. The town, now recognized as one of Kenya’s leading entertainment hubs, is gearing up to host award-winning South African superstar Tyler ICU, who will be making his first-ever performance in Eldoret City.

Mpasho has confirmed that The Baniyas Square and The Backyard Soirée are flying in the King of Amapiano for a highly anticipated show set for Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Rupas Mall. 

The event, dubbed “Tyler ICU Live in Eldoret”, is expected to draw a massive crowd of Amapiano lovers from across the region.

According to promotional posters circulating online, gates will open at 12:00 pm, with fans set to enjoy an exciting lineup of deejays and local music acts before the headliner closes the night with what promises to be an electrifying set.

Early Bird tickets have already sold out, but fans can still secure their spots via Mtickets, where Advance tickets are going for Sh 1,500, Gate tickets at Sh 2,000, and VIP tickets at Sh 4,000.

Representatives from The Backyard Soirée and The Baniyas Square assured fans to expect “a night like no other”, noting the show will be a milestone not just for Eldoret but for the Kenyan entertainment scene as a whole.

This marks Tyler ICU’s first-ever performance in Eldoret. Few Amapiano stars from South Africa have graced Kenyan stages, making this event even more historic for fans of the genre.

Background on Tyler ICU

Born Austin Khulani Baloyi in Kempton Park, Gauteng, Tyler ICU is one of the most successful deejays and producers in South Africa today.

He shot to fame with the release of “Mnike”, a global smash hit certified platinum in South Africa that dominated charts, peaking at number one for 16 consecutive weeks on The Official South African Charts and Billboard South Africa Songs.

Tyler first broke into the mainstream in 2020 with the single “Bella Ciao” alongside Nicole Elocin, DJ Maphorisa, and Kabza De Small, which led to the Money Heist EP. A year later, he followed it up with “Banyana”, another blockbuster hit that went double platinum.
