The complicated relationship between gospel singer Karangu Muraya and fellow artiste Triza Njeri has once again drawn public attention, reigniting speculation about their troubled union.
For months, Triza has accused Karangu of neglecting her and their children in the village, claiming he shifted focus to his second wife, Carol Kim.
Their fallout has played out in the public eye, but the pair recently found themselves under the same roof in what appeared to be a celebratory event—sparking rumours of a possible reunion.
A Rare Public Appearance
Although they did not arrive together, the estranged couple’s presence at the same function quickly fuelled curiosity. Triza dazzled in a glamorous gold gown and was spotted sitting with Mugithi stars Samidoh and Wanja Asali.
Karangu, meanwhile, dressed down in a checked shirt and black trousers, chose a separate table alongside his longtime friend and mentor Dama wa Spares, a man who has previously counselled him on matters concerning Carol.
Despite their distance, the tension was hard to miss. Videos circulating online captured Karangu laughing and dancing with his trademark energy, while Triza, though participating in the festivities, seemed reserved, her expression noticeably sombre.
Observers also pointed out that Karangu appeared at the event without Carol by his side.
The gathering, which attracted a host of influencers and entertainers, marked one of the few occasions the couple have been seen together since their split.
Yet no footage suggested they interacted directly, and both have remained silent on social media about the unexpected encounter.
Online Reactions
As expected, photos and clips spread quickly online, sparking lively debate among fans.
Eunikswexy Chuhi: “Nani ameona mama Muraya mahali ?? Naye Karangu anataka kuwaprove ako sawa. Triza akawaondokea camera zenu.”

Triza Stands Her Ground
Earlier this month, Triza firmly denied claims she was chasing clout after publicly declaring she is single. The mother of three made the announcement shortly after a controversial audio clip leaked, allegedly capturing Karangu gossiping about her with her friend Tata Essy.
Instead of retreating, Triza leaned into her music career, sharing a throwback studio photo with a powerful message about self-respect.
“To those saying I’m clout chasing… remember I didn’t even have a phone,” she wrote. “I posted this song long before the recordings surfaced. Just because you’re disrespected doesn’t mean you sit and endure it. Life has to move on.”
A Career Breakthrough
In what appears to be a turning point, Triza announced she had signed a brand ambassadorial deal with a local tea company. Photos posted online showed her smiling proudly as she signed the contract and posed with the products she will now promote.
The timing of the endorsement, coming so soon after her public fallout with Karangu, sparked fresh speculation about whether the drama was calculated. But Triza dismissed the doubts, crediting her success to resilience rather than controversy.
“I am so excited to announce that I am the newest brand ambassador,” she wrote. “So this tea about my love helped open this door. God bless you, Mama Muthoni Baby Top.”
From public clashes to private celebrations, the saga between Karangu and Triza continues to unfold, blending heartbreak, resilience, and reinvention—all while keeping their fans glued to every twist.
