The Indian preacher, who is based in Canada, has been travelling widely to spread the gospel since marrying Natasha in 2022.

The couple tied the knot in a colourful traditional ceremony in Nairobi in January that year, followed by a white wedding in Kerala, India, in May.

Carmel recently shared photos with Karen, where the pair were seen wearing matching outfits at a scenic location.

Alongside the images, he showered her with praise, calling her a blessing and a rare gift to God’s kingdom.

“Happy Birthday, my major spiritual daughter! ? @karen_rajan You are a star, a vessel, and a blessing to the kingdom! You are a rare gift to God’s Kingdom, and I’m grateful for all you do. The best is yet to come!” he wrote.

While the message was warm, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Natasha — usually quick to like and comment on her husband’s posts — had not interacted with this one.

That detail did not escape online observers, fuelling light-hearted speculation and debate.

Social Media Reactions

The photos quickly became a talking point, with netizens weighing in on the appropriateness of matching outfits with a “spiritual daughter.”

  • “Hata mimi nataka spiritual pastor tu match outfits na anipost birthday ? aaaaw how sweet ?,” one user joked.

  • “This is a red flag, matching outfits… anyway, let me mind my business,” another commented.

  • “Married men should avoid some confusion. Imagine my husband posting his spiritual daughter in matching clothes? Not wise at all,” wrote one long-time wife.

Others, however, dismissed the fuss, suggesting the outfits might simply have been church uniforms.

The term “major spiritual daughter” also sparked humorous debate, with one follower asking whether that meant there were “minor” daughters too.

Family Plans and Future Hopes

Away from the chatter, Natasha and Carmel have previously shared their hopes of expanding their family.

In November 2024, Natasha revealed that her younger brother Joseph and his wife Kate were expecting their first child.

At the time, she playfully nudged her husband to ensure their future baby would have a playmate. “Next year it’s our turn, @stanleycarmel, for the baby to have a playmate,” she wrote.

The Empowerment Christian Church leader also expressed her joy at becoming an aunt, sharing photos from her brother’s maternity shoot and gender reveal party.

She withheld the baby’s gender but invited fans to guess, writing: “Team Pink or Team Blue? Let the countdown begin!”

In a message of encouragement, she added: “To every woman believing God for a child, you will conceive and give birth to a bouncing baby in Jesus’ name.”

Carmel himself has been open about his desire for a big family. Shortly after their wedding in 2022, he revealed during a Valentine’s Q&A that he hoped for five children, describing it as “the number of grace.”
