Nigerian music icon Davido, a global Afrobeats sensation, has shared a surprisingly personal insight into what he truly values.
The megastar, known for his immense fame and fortune, recently revealed a simple question he wishes people would ask him more often.

A Simple Request
During an interview on the Uplift podcast, Davido was asked what he wished people would inquire about more.
His answer cut through the usual expectations associated with celebrity life.
“What is something that you wish you had been asked more?” the host inquired.
"How’re you?” Davido replied without hesitation. “Because you’ll just be stressed out. Just the little things. People just asking you how you are and then having 5 to 10 minutes talks could do a lot,” he added.
Davido stressed that these brief moments of genuine concern mean far more to him than any material gift or financial offer.

The Power of Empathy
The Afrobeats star explained that he does not need people's money. His success, which he refers to by saying "I'm up," means financial gain is not his concern.
Instead, he longs for simple human connection. These short conversations allow him a chance to "unburden and speak out his mind," which he highlighted as especially crucial during periods of intense stress.

He believes that these small gestures of care can make a significant difference to someone, regardless of their public persona or wealth.
Public Reaction
The revelation quickly garnered attention, prompting various reactions from netizens. Many resonated with Davido's perspective.

For instance, one user, @MaxCrypt_, wrote: "Yeah man. I can relate…. That’s one of the things we rich men suffer…. Everybody is always after what they can get from us, they never care about how we are doing. To them, because we are rich, we won’t have problems”.
Another user, @tobathenurse, commented on the nature of relationships amidst wealth: “the truth is if you want real love and true friends, stay lowkey. Money attracts many things but rarely the people who love you for you”.
The sentiment that "little things matter honestly" was echoed by @Web3Looper, highlighting that one might not know what others are quietly enduring.
