Kenya’s upcoming by-elections are set for November 27, 2025, with independent candidates required to submit their names and symbols by September 17.

Pre-nomination meetings with aspirants will take place on October 3, while registration of candidates—both independent and party-backed—is scheduled for October 8 and 9.

Campaigning will run from October 8 until November 24, closing 48 hours before election day. Daily campaign hours are set from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Independent candidates must meet eligibility requirements, including a three-month gap from political party membership and submission of a clearance certificate from the Registrar of Political Parties.

Dispute resolution by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will run from October 8 to October 17.
