A village in Bihar, India, was plunged into darkness after a young man reportedly cut off the local power supply, allegedly in a fit of anger when his girlfriend failed to answer his call.
The unusual incident has since garnered significant attention online, with many referring to it as the “ultimate heartbreak blackout”.

Reports suggest that the man became extremely frustrated after being unable to reach his girlfriend, whose phone line reportedly remained busy for a considerable period.
Instead of remaining calm, he allegedly resorted to a drastic act to express his anger.

Footage circulating online captured the moment the man was seen perched high on an electric pole.
He is seen clutching a large pair of pliers before being seen cutting through the wires, an act that appearedto instantly knock out the electricity in the surrounding area.
This shocking move left the entire village without power.

The incident, while dramatic, quickly drew a mixture of laughter and disbelief across social media platforms.
The video, which some compared to scenes from a Bollywood film, prompted a flood of reactions from viewers.
One user remarked on the man's extreme reaction, stating, “I’ve seen many lovers but this is the first time someone has gone crazy in love like this."
Another comment highlighted the unusual nature of his protest: “A lover usually cuts his own vein, but he cut the village’s vein instead."
Concerns were also raised about the man's safety during the act, with one person humorously suggesting, “One wrong move and human life goes on it’s way”.

A Precedent in Bihar
While the authenticity of the latest video has not yet been officially confirmed, this is not the first instance of electricity being deliberately manipulated in Bihar for personal reasons.
According to reports, in 2022, a similar situation occurred. A man there would cut the power every evening, plunging the village into darkness for two to three hours, all to secretly meet his girlfriend.
Locals were left baffled by the consistent blackouts until the unusual reason behind them eventually came to light.
This recent incident, whether confirmed or not, is surely one of the many bizarre ways in which personal disputes can escalate and impact an entire community.
