City businessman Kennedy Rapudo has spoken out following weeks of speculation that he and socialite Amber Ray may have gone their separate ways.

Fans had noticed Rapudo’s absence from Amber’s social media posts—where he was once a frequent feature—sparking rumours of a split.

The chatter grew louder when Amber began showcasing renovations at their mansion without Rapudo in sight, and later, when she was spotted selling some of his furniture online.

Speaking to Milele FM’s Ankali Ray, Rapudo was pressed to confirm whether they had broken up. He, however, chose to remain guarded:

“Have I said we have separated? Have you heard Amber say we have separated? If that ever happens, the information will come from me or her, not bloggers. Let people talk,” he said.

Rapudo also dismissed claims that he had lost weight due to heartbreak, explaining that his lifestyle changes were linked to managing hypertension.

“There will always be family issues, but we cannot put everything out there. Mambo yetu ni mambo yetu. Amber and I are okay—our issues are private,” he asserted.

Addressing the Online Speculation

Just last week, Rapudo broke his silence with a lengthy statement on Instagram, slamming gossip blogs for spreading “nonsense.”

“I’ve been getting calls and messages from friends worried about the gossip online, but let me say this once—there’s nothing to worry about,” he wrote.

He went on to call social media a “playground for empty debes shouting nonsense for attention,” making it clear that he and Amber had chosen to keep their matters private.

“Our silence clearly disturbs the broke and bitter. They create lies, hoping for clickbait, but all they do is choke on their own stupidity. None of it is true, none of it matters, and I won’t break a sweat addressing it. Idlers will stay idlers.”

A Relationship in the Spotlight
