Kenya’s Harambee Stars captain, Aboud Omar, has once again opened up, this time revealing intimate details about his early career, personal habits, and aspirations.
In a candid, quickfire session with Mpasho’s Kalondu Musyimi, Omar shared a glimpse into the life of a national football hero, from his first earnings to his daily routines.

The Professional Journey Begins
Aboud Omar’s entry into professional football was his first-ever job. He candidly shared the modest beginnings of his career earnings.

When asked about his first salary from playing football, he revealed, "12,000".
Omar also shared that he began playing the sport at a remarkably young age, at just five years old, but his professional football career kicked off at the coastal-based club, Bandari FC. Growing up in Mombasa, football became his life's path early on.
Personal Habits and Preferences
Omar also offered insights into his personal world, far from the stadium lights. When questioned about his M-Pesa balance, he jokingly stated, "I don't have M-Pesa, I use Airtel ndio wasiniombe.”
In terms of personal aesthetics, the captain confirmed he has "Zero" tattoos.

Like many, Omar has a clear vision for his dream ride. His ultimate car choice is a "Range Rover Sport".
Regarding his daily rhythm, his schedule is highly disciplined, built around his sport. He rises early, waking up at "5 AM to pray". His nights typically conclude late, as he goes to sleep "at night around 12".
As a Real Madrid fan, his idol is Cristiano Ronaldo, and his favorite song before a match is Mbosso’s Pawa.

The players and technical bench have been raking in millions from President Ruto after every match day, since day one of the tournament when they stepped on the iconic Kasarani pitch.
President Ruto promised each a reward of Ksh 1 million for every win, but later revised the reward upwards to Ksh 2.5 million for a win against Zambia, which they did on Sunday, the 17th of August.
