Citizen TV’s news anchor, Rashid Abdalla has revealed in detail why his last Google search, he searched for the word ‘Lulu’.
Speaking to Mpasho’s Kalondu Musyimi during a Quickfire session, Abdalla revealed that his last Google search history – Lulu – has significance both in his marriage life and also in his professional life.
He revealed that apart from the name Lulu being his wife’s, it is also the title of their new telenovela Series which he said has already started airing on Maisha Magic Plus.
“My last google search is ‘Lulu’ which is the name of my new drama series which is inspired by my wife. Lulu is on Maisha Magic Plus and it’s all about the challenges that people face,” Abdalla hinted.
The renowned Swahili news anchor took a deep dive into the drama’s storyline, highlighting the lessons people can learn by watching it.
“Lulu is the pearl, not many people have Pearls, so for us to achieve anything in life, we have to work extra hard with dedication. So the story of Lulu shows that journey,” Abdalla explained.
Abdalla also made it clear that he is not new to the drama series and telenovela production industry.
He said that he has been in the film production industry since 2016 and has been heavily involved in producing many drama series that have aired on Gotv and DStv but also some that have found their rightful place on free-to-air local TV channels in Kenya.
“I thank God that I have been part of the making of many drama series since 2016 up to now, I have done enough.”
