Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika has responded sharply to her ex-partner, singer Brown Mauzo, after he insinuated that one of his baby mamas drunk-calls him in the middle of the night.

Mauzo recently sparked speculation after claiming on social media that one of his four baby mothers phones him at 1 a.m.—a time he argued should only be reserved for emergencies.

Though he did not mention Vera by name, fans were quick to link the remarks to her, flooding her platforms with comments and accusations.

Mother to Mauzo’s two children, Asia Brown and Prince Ice Brown, Vera wasted no time in shutting down the rumours. In a fiery statement, she dismissed the claims, making it clear that she is financially independent and has never relied on Mauzo for support.

Vera's Fiery Rebuttal

“I keep seeing people telling me to stop calling at night, and I’m like, me, 1 a.m.? Even in a relationship, I wouldn’t call my boyfriend at that hour. Call drunk and complaining? Absolutely not. I’m a sober person, I don’t get drunk, and you would never catch me acting that way. I’m responsible, mature, and smart. I don’t drink alcohol and I don’t act out,” she declared.

Vera also criticised bloggers who used her photo in reports of Mauzo’s comments, suggesting that she was being unfairly dragged into unnecessary drama.

“Why would anyone think he was referring to me? Kenyans, you know this guy is called Father Abraham because he has other kids. So why assume any story about his baby mamas is about me?” she fumed.

A Stern Warning to an Ex

The socialite went further, warning her ex not to use her name for publicity. “Please keep my name out of your mouth. I have never needed anything from Brown. I take care of my kids; I am good. And if you are trying to look for clout, this is not the place, Brown, because you know me—I’ve got receipts and I can expose you,” she warned.

A History of Bad Blood

This is not the first time Vera has spoken openly about her strained relationship with the coastal-born musician. In May last year, she denied claims from fans that she only got into the relationship to have children with good genes.

“Lmaooo, if it’s good genes, even the sperm bank has it. Actually, you can even choose the eye colour you want your child to have,” she quipped.

When pressed on whether she would ever reconcile with Mauzo, Vera firmly shut down the possibility. “Oh babe, that will never happen. Respectfully,” she replied.
