Award-winning Nigerian singer and global music star Yemi Alade has released a brand-new single titled “Mbali," a Swahili word meaning “Far.”
The track, dropped under Effyzie Music, carries a refreshing, breezy sound that invites listeners to escape the weight of daily pressures, embrace joy, and recharge through music.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Alade described “Mbali” as a soundtrack for everyday life:
“Mbali is the song you play to live your life after a long day’s job, when you're starting your morning, or when it’s time to party the African way. It’s about choosing joy, claiming your space and protecting your mental peace.”
Produced by Yasso, the hitmaker behind Alade’s Grammy nominated track 'Tomorrow' from her 2024 Rebel Queen album, the single blends afro-pop rhythms with soul-soothing melodies. Together, Alade and Yasso continue exploring themes of resilience, freedom, and peace of mind.
