Triza Njeri, the first wife of gospel singer Karangu Muraya, has firmly denied accusations that she is chasing clout following her recent public declaration that she is single.

The mother of three made the announcement on social media just days after a controversial audio clip emerged in which Karangu was allegedly heard gossiping about her with her close friend, Tata Essy.

In response, Triza has remained unshaken, instead choosing to focus on her personal brand and blossoming music career.

A Firm Stance on Leaving Disrespectful Marriage

“To those saying I’m clout chasing… remember I didn’t even have a phone,” she stated in a now-viral post. “I posted this song long before any of these recordings surfaced.

Just because you’re disrespected doesn’t mean you sit and endure it. Life has to move on.” This comes after a series of public tensions between Triza and Karangu, including a fallout involving his second wife.

Triza had earlier accused both Karangu and her co-wife of being disrespectful, but has since expressed that she no longer pities herself after everything that has happened.

New Endorsement Sparks Publicity Stunt Claims

In a significant career milestone, Triza announced this week that she has landed a brand ambassadorial deal with a local tea company.

The deal, which she proudly showcased on social media, comes hot on the heels of her decision to publicly distance herself from her husband.

In the photos shared, Triza could be seen posing next to her new employer, beaming as she held up her signed contract.

She also showcased the tea products she will now be endorsing and marketing online—proving her focus is firmly set on her professional growth.

The timing of the endorsement, however, has raised eyebrows among netizens. Many questioned whether the ongoing drama with Karangu was a publicity stunt designed to stir attention and land such deals.

But Triza swiftly hit back at the sceptics, insisting her success is not built on drama.

Eyes on the Prize: A Focus on Career Goals

“I am so excited to announce that I am the newest brand ambassador,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “So this tea about my love helped open this door. God bless you, Mama Muthoni Baby Top.”

This isn’t the first time Triza has clashed with her critics online. Recently, she dismissed Karangu’s gestures—such as sending her flowers and sharing posts about her—as superficial attempts to win public sympathy.

She also reminded followers that she was never active on social media until recently, subtly suggesting that it was others who brought their issues online first.
