She sustained a fractured skull (a break in the bone of the skull) and experienced brain swelling (swelling of the brain tissue), along with a severe brain injury and concussion. These critical injuries led to a 20-day hospital stay for the young child.

Daughter's Enduring Health Battle

According to his father, the accident left Talisha with several acquired conditions that have profoundly impacted her development.

Doctors later diagnosed her with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) level two, ADHD, and dyslexia.

"Recently, she was diagnosed with some conditions. When she becomes hyper, she has ASD level two. And then we have ADHD. And then she has Dyslexia,” he said.

"I didn't know because she had a brain injury, a severe brain injury. So at the back, she had a concussion, and then also, she had a slight concussion, so they had to do something with it. The conditions were acquired through the accident, but right now she's just going for speech therapy. And occupational therapy".

"She might not be articulate, but she's trying, and she's so intelligent,” he added.

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) level two indicates significant challenges in social communication and restricted, repetitive behaviours, requiring substantial support.

• ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterised by difficulties with attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.

• Dyslexia is a learning disorder primarily affecting reading and language processing. Tisha, now seven years old and in Grade 1, is described as intelligent and attentive, but struggles with articulation and is often "super active".

Baba Talisha highlighted the ongoing financial strain formedication and therapists. She currently undergoes speech therapy (to help with communication) and occupational therapy (to develop daily living skills).

Facing Unimaginable Accusations

Beyond the profound personal loss, Baba Talisha faced a barrage of hurtful public accusations. He recalled the immense pain of people claiming he had "sacrificed your wife".

This period plunged him into deep grief; he admitted to crying constantly and feeling "everything is falling apart". The shock was so severe that he did not leave his house for two days, eventually receiving encouragement from his parents. He also touched upon the societal expectation that men should not openly express their emotions, noting that when they do, it's often perceived as seeking sympathy.

Finding Strength and Advocating for Others

Despite the immense pain, Baba Talisha found strength in his faith, stating, "God has been part of my story in everything that I've been going through".

He also relied on a strong support system that included family, strangers, and followers from overseas. He chose to channel his experience into purpose, using his YouTube channel to motivate others and advocate for children with special needs.

"I want to champion for her and any other kid out here. The same condition. So you should stand up for these kids..."

Baba Talisha continues to use his social media presence, including YouTube, to spread awareness and positivity, expressing gratitude for his loyal followers.
